Ladder Rules:
The ladder has now started.
Anyone still wishing to register will be added to the bottom of the ladder. If a person wishes to leave the ladder (for whatever reason), their name will be removed from the ladder and everyone below moved up a place. The cost of joining the ladder at any time will be £1. If you have not already paid please do by the end of the session on Tuesday 4th November or you will be removed from the ladder.
Ladder matches will be the best of 3 games, each game up to 11 points.
Challenges can only be made on the Monday and Tuesday sessions and not within the last 10 minutes (unless agreed on by both parties).
Each person can only make 2 challenge per session. You must accept valid challenges regardless of how many ladder matches you have played that session, unless you are already due to play a ladder match, either having challenged someone earlier or been challenged. If a player refuses a valid challenge, then they will be moved below the challenger.
You can only play the same person once in a session, regardless of who is challenging and who has been challenged.
Players may challenge anyone up to and including four positions above themselves in the ladder. If none of these people are present, talk to a member of the Exec and you might be able to challenge someone else.
If the challenger wins the match, then the winner will take the losers place, with the loser and all intermediate players moving down one place. Otherwise their positions remain unchanged.
You must report the result to one of the Exec members, who will note your result and change the positions accordingly. Even if the challengers loses, please report the game to one of the exec so you don't get moved to the bottom.
If any player does not report a played match to the exec in 4 consecutive sessions they will be moved to the bottom of the ladder. This is in order to reward regular play.
If there are any disputes with regards to match rules or ladder rules please ask an exec member. Their decision will be final and not open to dispute.
We will have a copy of the rules and ladder at the sessions, and also they will be available for viewing on the website. The physical ladder will be the one to go by as the website might take some time to get updated.
The ladder is open to all club members, independent of their standard.
