The Ocean Diver course

The Ocean Diver course is BSAC's entry level scuba diving course. The course teaches you everything to make you a very competent diver, and a BSAC qualification is recognized all over the world. The Ocean Diver course is open to anyone, and assumes that you have had little or no experience of diving.

What's involved?

The course consists of 7 short theory lectures, 5 pools sessions (these take place in the Sports Centre pool), a theory exam and 5 open water dives. All through the Ocean diver course you will be under the supervision of a Qualified BSAC Instructor to make sure that you are nice and safe.

How much does it cost?

The ocean diver course costs £250. This covers all materials, BSAC Membership, theory and pool lessons and a deposit for the Easter trip. Once you have done the theory and pool lessons, there are 5 open water lessons which will take about 3 days to complete, and you will need to pay as you do these days which are likely to cost about £25 a day.

So why should I learn to dive?

The BSAC Ocean Diver course offered by WUSAC is one of the best ways to learn to dive. The course is great fun, will introduce you to the wonderful world of diving and will qualify you to dive to 20m anywhere in the world. Also diving as part of a club like WUSAC means that you have a great opportunity to meet other divers, go diving with friends and attend our fantastic socials!
