Hey Guys!
Here's a letter from our lovely Raids co-ordinator Mints about the coming raid to Cheltenham! :D
Heya my RAG lovelies,
How do you guys fancy getting away for the weekend?
Next weekend (13th -15th of November) RAG is off to lovely Cheltenham to raise
some money for Breast Cancer campaign and to have much funzies along the way.
Because we are going on the train I need to book tickets so it would be awesome if
you could let me know as soon as possible if you want to come with us (Wednesday at
the latest) and if you could also let me know if you have a railcard that would be
massively helpful.
Sign-up will be on Wednesday 11-2 in SUHQ lounge (next to the
breadoven)
Well be leaving the duck at 3.30 on Friday and getting the train from
Coventry station and would be getting back Sunday early afternoon. This whole trip
will cost you only 10, excluding food and night out obviously.

Hey Guys!
Sorry about the time since the last update, it’s been a manic few weeks. :S
But, there’s many wonderful things to tell you about…….
1. Awesome Raiding! RAG has had 2 brilliant raids in the last week,
so well done and thank you to all you lovely people who helped in anyway! :D Details to go up on the raids page as we get them……
2. Facebook Raids! RAG has a Raids group on Facebook! :D If you want all the details you could
possibly want about raids, delivered right to you on one of the biggest social networks in the world,
check out our group!
3.Pub Golf! RAG is going to be touring the awesome bars of Leamington this Thursday! :D Details

Are you lot as excited about this weekend's megaraid as I am? I hope so, because it's hosted by US, which is amazing and it's all going towards the
RAINBOW TRUST, purveyors of exciting-coloured t-shirts and lovely stickers. They also do some pretty amazing work, so look out for the weekly
e-mail with information of how you (yes, you) can raid in lovely Leamington, Warwick, Coventry and even Stratford along with a bunch of other RAGs from
around the country to raise some money for this very worthy cause. This is a great way to meet new people if you've been involved with RAG for a while,
and an even better way to get involved if you've not done so far!
If you've not yet signed up for the Hitch, DO IT! It's by far the most fun you can have with a member of the opposite sex with all your clothes on, take it
from one half of last year's Best Hitching Pair 2008, it's worth the money!

The new year's kicking off, and with it we have a raid and a social, just for you! This saturday we will be heading down to Leamington to collect for the
wonderful Kidscan. We've made them an absolute mint over the past few years, so let's keep it up! With your help we can take Leam by storm and shake some
loose change from the pockets of unsuspecting shoppers! This is a perfect opportunity to get invlved with RAG or even if you're just curious about raiding,
as you have a great opportunity to raise some money for sweet, sweet charity, and you don't have the huge commitment of going away for a whole weekend! Brilliant!
As well as this we have a wonderful social for you lot on WEDNESDAY the 28th, that's WEEK FOUR. Meet in the Grad at 6:30ish and after a cheeky half we'll
head off to Brown's in Coventry for 7:30. It's an amazing restaurant with a great variety of meat, veggie and vegan food, and it's not too tough on your

Firstly thanks to all those who made the scavenger hunt a success, it was a fun afternoon.
For those of you, who weren't there, fear not! We have our next event this Wednesday with our 3 legged bar crawl.
Meet up in the duck at half 7, for 3 legged mayhem to all the best pubs the university had to offer.
This is our first social of the year and promises to be awesome!
Secondly, we've got our first raid of the year to Chester next weekend, for Meningitis research.

Secondly, for those of you who don't know, this weekend is our Scavenger Hunt!
Meeting in the Duck at 12.30, you're then guaranteed for an afternoon of mayhem!
For £2 per person, you'll be able to take part in a hunt around campus to take pictures
of many wonderful (and quite possibly bizarre) things all over campus.
Bring your mates and run around campus collecting clues till 3 with fabulous prizes to be won!
Come on down!

For those of you who don't know, RAG stands for Raising and Giving, and we run events and collections to raise money for charity.
The events range from the weekly pub quiz, to running raids to collect spare change from the trusting town's people of just about
anywhere.
But it's not all work work work! We also run regular socials, be them pub crawls, social meals or just collecting together to have a
laugh about the many good times we share. There's also the Hitch opportunities where we dress up in bright luminous jackets and
aim to get to places like Dublin and beyond! Then there's the madness that is RAG week where RAG invades lectures to hand out
hugs, cake and anything else you'd care for us to deliver. Couple that with the annual Traffic Light Disco and you know you're onto
a winner.
So that's the intro. But don't despair! That is not all! Take the time to browse the links to find more and more about what makes RAG truly
tick!
And also a quick welcome back for the Vets. Let's make 2009/10 an awesome year!

In all seriousness though guys, I'd like to personally thank Anna, as I'm sure we all would for the effort and commitment that she put into this website.
It is truly awesome!
But now times change. We have a new exec beggining the good work and we're all chomping at the bit and raring to go.
The previous exec did a stellar job and now its upto us to continue in the same vain.
In light of that guys check out the new (if probably a let down for now) a concept fun and games page! Currently not much
on there but hopefully more will be added in time. :)
