Attention Freshers!!
If you're not quite sure what a raid is all about, take it from me, it's
an amazingly fun, cheap way to get yourself away from campus for a day or
a weekend, make new friends, have a laugh, and raise tons of money for
charity so you don't even get to feel guilty for having all that fun!
Oxford Feb 6th- The Everyman Campaign done
Sheffield Feb 13th- Barnardosdone
Newcastle Feb 27th- Whizz-kidz
Another may be announced in time :).
We're raiding Bristol on December 5th which is this years RAG week Raid. The departure time is 8am on the Piaza.
Mail Sarah, our lovely raids co-ordinator
for further details and to sign on. Deadline for sign up is this Wednesday :D
You're more than welcome on any of our raids, just join RAG (only a pound,
remember?) and watch out for the emails inviting you to sign up, but you
are absolutely not allowed to miss our Fresher's raid at the end of week
3! Invite your kitchen, course mates and randomers you sit next to on the
bus, but if they're too boring then bring yourself and make some new
friends who are all lovely and charitable :)
Contact Sarah for any questions or suggestions. Happy Raiding!
For you guys
new to raiding (or old hats that still want a few tips) get Dave's
Raid Guide - top advice on how to raise somewhere near as
much as he raises (quite a lot)

In
the words of the founder of the award, the silver-tongued ex-raid
leader Mr David Hodge: "The golden bucket award is an annual
award for the top raider. The winner is announced at the AGM,
and is awarded the golden bucket and a golden bucket award t-shirt.
The raids co-ordinator (Sarah) is not eligible for the
golden bucket award, so their totals are not published on the
page"
