Two Tier Competition

Description: First competition of the new term and this one is for those who enjoy plenty of competitive pool! An initial group stage will split the turnout, seeing the top half compete for the Championship while the rest compete for the Trophy.

Description: A singles competition that tests your desire to win. Can you stand toe to toe with your opponent for more than a best of 3, 5, 7...? It's a straight knock out but you'll be playing plenty of frames. Join us at Reds for 7pm or at the bus stop next to the arts centre at 6:30pm.

8-Ball Game, Set & Match!

Description: A singles competition with a twist, a match cannot be won without a two frame difference between the players. Join us at Reds for 7pm or at the bus stop next to the arts centre at 6:30pm to get involved.

8-Ball Handicap

Description: The classic returns. The rules will be explained on the night but basically each player will be given a handicap based on past performances. If one player has performed worse than another (or we've never seen you before) they get to take some balls off the table at the beginning of the game. Sound like a chance to get one over on the big guns? It certainly is!! Reds at 7pm or bus stop next to the arts centre at 6:30pm.

End of Term Comp

Description: The second of our big slams. Plenty of pool to be played and champions race points to be had. Reds at 7pm or the bus stop next to the arts centre at 6:30pm.

8-ball 'Game, Set and Match'

Event Type: Singles Comp
Location: Reds, Coventry

Entry Fee: £2.50 tables, £2 comp (members), 2 (non-members)
Description: Basically, it's a standard 8-ball tournament with a group stage and a knockout, but to win a match you must be 2 frames ahead of your opponent (or the first to 4 in the case of a 3-3 tie).
Also, after a trial run last week, we will be running 'the wooden spatula' competition for everyone who doesn't make the knockout stage. It's just a small knockout competition to give you a chance to win your entry fee back. (An actual spatula will make an appearance next year!)
No matter what your ability, it's sure to be a great evening of pool so get yourself down and have a night off from essays and revision!
As always, we'll be meeting at the Arts Centre bus stops at 6.30 on Thursday or you can meet us at Reds Snooker Club in Coventry at 7.

Standard 8-Ball Singles!

Description: There will be a standard 8-ball singles tournament this Thursday at Reds in Coventry. As per usual it will be £2.50 to use the tables and £2 for the tourney. Meet at Arts Centre bus stops at 6.30pm or at Reds at 7. I will be unavailable again this week so ex-events Paul will be running the event.

Final 8-Ball Tournament of the Year - BLACKBALL RU

Description: Alright Guys! I hope everyone's exams have gone well (and good luck if you've still got some left!)
For the final tournament of the year, I thought I'd do something a bit different!
If there's interest, we'll have a blackball rules singles tournament instead of the usual world rules. The basic game is very similar to world rules, but with a few crucial differences that make games very interesting! Write on the event wall if you'd be interested.
We'll have a brief run-through of the rules on the night, but I'd advise having a read here first to get the gist of the rules: http://www.blackball.co.uk/wpabbrules.pdf
As always, it'll be £2.50 for the tables and £2 for the tourney. Meet at Arts Centre bus stops at 6.30 or Reds at 7.
