Welcome to the University of Warwick Polo Club's homepage...
Warwick Polo aims to enable participation to those of varying abilities and experience within this exciting sporting field. The club offers a range of activities including lessons, inter-university competitions, social events & days out.
This year we have more people playing than ever before, from complete beginners to National Representatives! This year, our Novice 1st Team gained the title of National Champions in the Winter Championshipships, and last year our Beginner 1st Team were both Summer and Winter National Champions, and our Novice 1st team were National Champions in the Winter Championship, and our Beginner 2nd Team were also Champions in the Summer Nationals.
The club currently hosts the Summer Nationals, just outside of Leamington Spa, so we can offer opportunities for sponsored stands and stalls, as well as promising an amazing day out!
This year, we will have six teams, in the beginner, novice and intermediate sections, in an attempt to cater for total newcomers, so please sign up even if you've never played before. The club will also be offering lessons and instructional chukkas for those who do not want to play regularly within one of our teams. Our training will be held at Offchurch Bury Polo Club, whose grounds are only a 20 minute drive away from campus. They offer us lessons at discounted rates and the club provides transport between lessons, so it couldn't be easier to take part.
