Kit List

As part of our Duty of Care, we will be inspecting every walker to ensure that they have the correct equipment. In particular, every walker must have a pair of walking boots and a good waterproof/windproof layer. Each member should ensure that they have sufficient warm layers.

If you adhere to the kit list then you should be able to do the challenge without the worry that your clothing will let you down. If you have poor kit it will be reflected in your walking. We accept that many of you will not know what to expect from the challenge and few of you will have experienced emergency conditions on the hill. We have designed this kit list bearing in mind the most likely weather conditions, worst case weather conditions and also also any emergencies that may occur.

If you dont have the correct kit you should think very carefully before signing up. We are trying to arrange discount deals with outdoor clothing shops, but clothing and boots can be expensive.

If you have any questions regarding the equipment and clothing that you need, or want to know more about what equipment we provide, email the equipment man, Guy Parker-Dennison theprezis@hotmail.com.
