Welcome to the Buddsoc
From the Buddsoc executive we offer a big hello and warm welcome. Whether you are a returning seasoned student, a brand new fresher, or simply someone who is interested in Buddhism, all are welcome here at Buddsoc.
As a society we hold a weekly meditation session during term time lead by Laungpor Khemadhammo, a Theravadin monk. We also arrange trips to the local Buddhist temple for some of the major Buddhist festivals.

Songkran Temple Trip!
We are excited to announce that the next temple
trip is upon us. Although the summer term has yet to begin
we decided to organise a mini bus to the forest Hermitage
for the Songkran (Thai new year)
celebration as is such a special occasion.For anyone who has not been to the forest hermitage this is a fantastic opportunity to visit our monk Luangpor’s residence and meet the Buddhist community. Celebrations include a talk by Luangpor, traditional food offerings, An amazing Thai lunch and some one whispered something about a water fight :) For more information see our Temple trip page.
